Fileora was created with a clear objective: to provide a lightweight, modern, and accessible suite of document, PDF, and image conversion tools without requiring account registrations, software installations, intrusive tracking, or artificial paywalls.
Every day, millions of students, educators, professionals, and individuals need to transform a PDF into an editable Word document, convert a messy spreadsheet into an organized PDF, compress large attachments for email, or extract tables from scanned reports. Too many existing web converters trap users behind credit card prompts, mandatory logins, and opaque data practices. We set out to build an honest, transparent alternative.

We believe authenticity builds trust. Fileora is an individually owned and operated independent web project.
We do not fabricate corporate history, fictitious executive boards, or corporate headquarters. Our focus is 100% on software reliability, fast execution, clean code, and user data privacy. The platform is operated and maintained directly by an independent developer dedicated to building high-quality web tools.
3. Technical Architecture & Privacy Philosophy
Our technical design is guided by three fundamental engineering principles:
Client-Side Where Feasible
Wherever possible (such as PDF page reordering, local merges, and client compression), operations run directly inside your web browser via WebAssembly and JavaScript, meaning your file bytes never even leave your computer.
Ephemeral Processing
When server processing is required (e.g., LibreOffice rendering for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint conversions), files are processed in temporary server storage and identified by random tokens.
Automatic Deletion
Converted files are kept in temporary Cloudflare R2 storage for 60 minutes by default and then deleted automatically by a background sweep that runs every 10 minutes. You can delete a file immediately from the download page.

- Strict Upload & Quality Limits: Up to 3 MB per file, 5 MB and 3 files per batch, with strict concurrency limits to ensure equitable server performance for all visitors.
- Zero Spyware or Secret Trackers: No marketing pixels, no third-party analytics tracking scripts, and zero active cookies.
- Full User IP Retention: You retain 100% intellectual property ownership of your files. We never sell, scrape, or repurpose your document content.
