Yes. All conversion tools, document utilities, compression options, and AI preview features are 100% free. We do not have hidden premium tiers, paywalled formats, or trial limits that demand a credit card after a certain number of conversions.

To preserve server performance and ensure fair access for all users, our backend strictly enforces:

• Single File Size: Maximum 3 MB per file.
• Batch Size: Maximum 5 MB aggregate across multi-file jobs (each file still 3 MB or smaller).
• File Count: Maximum 3 files in a single batch upload.
• Output Size: Maximum 100 MiB for any converted output file.
• Concurrency: Maximum 2 active conversions concurrently per IP address.

Original uploads are deleted immediately after conversion. Converted files stored in our private Cloudflare R2 temporary storage (fileconverter-temp) have a 60-minute retention window, giving you time to download or retry.

An automated background daemon runs every 10 minutes on our server. It queries the database for all completed jobs older than 60 minutes and failed jobs older than 15 minutes, executes S3-compatible delete commands to purge files from Cloudflare R2, and cleans up metadata. No. Your files are never publicly listed, indexed by search engines, or made browsable.

Every conversion generates a cryptographically unguessable UUID token (e.g., f47ac10b-58cc-4372-a567-0e02b2c3d479). Our Cloudflare R2 bucket is private with public directory listing completely disabled. Downloads can only be initiated by a client requesting the exact unique job identifier associated with that conversion.

If you do not want to wait for the automatic 60-minute cleanup sweep, you can use the red delete (trash) button next to the file on your download page and confirm in the dialog that appears.

This sends an immediate DELETE /api/jobs/:jobId request to our backend. The server issues a direct delete command to Cloudflare R2, removes the temporary object, and marks the database record as deleted. Once deleted, the link becomes permanently invalid.

Only for designated AI features. Standard conversions (PDF to Word, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF, Word to PDF, image compression, merges, splits) do NOT use artificial intelligence and never transmit your file to AI providers.

AI processing is only invoked if you explicitly choose our document intelligence tools: AI Summarizer (/api/summarize), PDF Translator (/api/translate), or AI Table Extractor (/api/ai/tables).

For standard converters: No, because no AI is involved.

For the three optional AI tools, extracted text or page images are sent to Google's Gemini API (generativelanguage.googleapis.com). Under Google AI Studio terms, prompts and generated outputs may be retained and reviewed to improve Google services when using free-tier API keys, whereas paid tier accounts with billing enabled do not train on customer inputs. Because cloud billing tier status can vary, we transparently advise users never to submit confidential, highly sensitive, proprietary, or secret records to AI features.

No. No user registration, password creation, email verification, or payment details are required. You can visit the site, convert your documents, download your files, and leave immediately.

Currently, our website runs with zero cookies and zero advertising scripts. We do not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixels, or session recording tools.

Google AdSense is planned for possible future introduction to support infrastructure costs. Prior to activating any ad scripts, a certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) will be deployed to ensure user consent is collected in accordance with applicable laws (GDPR, DPDPA). If an error occurs or layout differs from expectations:

• Ensure the file is not password-encrypted, corrupted, or larger than 3 MB.
• For spreadsheets, verify if extremely wide sheets have unusual print-area settings.
• For Word conversions, non-standard embedded fonts may be replaced with open-source alternatives.
